My Story
My name is Alex Tempestini and I am a certified play therapist based in Swaffham, Norfolk. I trained with Play Therapy UK and have over 400 hours / 3 years of experience.
Previously, I was a primary school teacher for 17 years and for the majority of this time I worked as a Reception teacher where I was fortunate to observe and be part of children's play every day.

My journey into play therapy began when I realised the power of play as a natural healing language for children. Children play about what is on their minds and their hearts, and it is one of the most effective ways they can communicate with people in their lives.
Feeling overwhelmed by emotions, worries and life's challenges can affect a child's ability to thrive. Play therapy provides a non-judgemental environment where children are able to process, explore and externalise whatever is going on for them and regain their sense of equilibrium.
